Local runs entirely on your device. Your notes are stored on your machine and never transmitted to any server. There is no account, no login, and no internet connection required. It is private by design — your data belongs entirely to you.
Yes. You can use Local indefinitely and upgrade to Cloud at any time. When you sign up for Cloud, your existing notes sync automatically. Nothing needs to be migrated manually.
Your data is always yours. If you cancel, your notes remain fully accessible through the Local client on your device. Cloud sync and collaboration features deactivate, but nothing is deleted.
Yes. Subscribing annually locks in the $4/month rate ($48/year) for the full billing period. You save 33% compared to the monthly rate.
notx is currently available for macOS and Windows. iOS and Android clients are in development. Cloud sync works seamlessly across all supported platforms once released.
